Your company isn't in the KVK register
No KVK match during setup? Enter your business details by hand and carry on — a KVK number is a shortcut, not a requirement.
During setup Bill looks your company up in the KVK register so it can fill in your name, address, and numbers for you. When the search finds nothing, it says so and offers Enter manually. When it does find companies but none is yours, pick None of these — enter manually.
Either way you then just tell Bill your details in the chat and setup continues normally.
What AirBill needs from you
- Your business name.
- Your business address.
- Your VAT number, if you have one.
A KVK number is optional here. It only saves typing — nothing in AirBill is blocked without one.
Common reasons for no match
- The KVK number was mistyped. It has 8 digits.
- You searched for a trade name that differs from the registered name. Try the registered name, or the KVK number.
- Your business isn’t registered with the Dutch KVK at all (for example, a foreign entity). Manual entry is the right route.
Fixing it later
Everything you enter here can be corrected afterwards under Profile → Company info, including adding the KVK number once you have it — see Manage company information. Do check it before you send your first invoice, because these details end up on the invoice itself.
